Owls Close Door on Rutgers Club; Claiming First Home Dual of Season

Cranford, NJ – The Owls Nest was full of life for the first home match of season, as they took care of Rutgers University Club, with a final score of 41-12, on Thursday, December 5th, 2024. 

 

Freshman Captain, Salvatore Randazzo (133) got the party started with a decision that would lead to four straight wins for the Owls.

 

The Owls would go on to win four bouts by bonus points with two by pin, from the likes of Braulio Villafana Jr. (149) and Vito Giannetta (184).

 

The victory also extended Joshua Baeza’s (141) bonus-win streak to three straight.

 

The Owls return to the mat December 21st, when they head out to Hershey, PA to compete in the Chocolate Duals, and the chance to win a 5 lb. Hershey Bar.
