Owls Sink Claws into Bulldogs Perfect Season

Michael Brito, Cranford NJ:

The Union College Men’s Soccer team upset Bergen Community College 3-0 last night at Oak Ridge Park. Bergen Community College came into the matchup undefeated ranked number one in the region and number three in the latest NJCAA National Rankings. That did not intimidate the Owls one bit. Even with the wet conditions thanks to Mother Nature finally making an appearance for a home soccer game this season the Owls were soaring high. Josser Amaya started the party with a goal midway through the first half. Daniel Derius-Rodriguez then continued the festivities with two goals early in the second half. Let’s not forget to give credit to the bouncer of the party goal keeper Brandon McCall who made amazing saves throughout the night to keep the Bulldogs scoreless on the night.

Join us Tuesday night as the Owls take on nationally ranked Mercer County College in their final home game of the season at 7:30 pm.
