Week 7 Esports Recap: 

EA FC 25: 

UCNJ’s Sebastian Jaramillo lost to first place Guilford Technical Community College. Knocking him out of playoff contention. Sebastian finished the season 3-4. Sebastian bounced back nicely this season after a disastrous Spring Semester. Sebastian is already training and looking to return to the playoffs in the upcoming Spring Semester.  

Fortnite No Build: 

The Fortnite team finished the season by beating Lakeland Community College 2-0. The Owls won their matches 14-7 and 8-1.  The Owls finished the season 6-1 and number one seed in the playoffs. The Owls will take on Johnston Community College to open the NJCAAE East Regional Playoffs on 11/18/24.

Call of Duty Gunfight: 

The Call of Duty Gunfight team completed their perfect regular season with two wins on the final matchday to finish the season 14-0. The Owls took on Pensacola State College to start the night. The Owls won the series 3-1 (4-6, 6-0, 6-5, 6-2). To close out the double header the Owls took on Hawkeye Community College and won by forfeit. The first place Owls will take on Hawkeye Community College 11/21/24 in the first round of NJCAAE Reginal Playoffs.

Mario Kart 1 vs 1:  

Santiago Puerto lost his final game of the year against Bevill State Community College 4-0. Santi finished second in the region with an 11-2 record. Santi is back in action on 11/21/24 against Iowa Western Community College to begin Regional Playoff action.

Rocket League:  

The UCNJ Owls Rocket League Team won their double header by forfeits last week. The Owls finished the season 9-6 and will head into postseason as the 7th seed. The Owls will be back in action on 11/22/24 to begin postseason action against Lackawanna College.

Mario Kart 4v4: 

The Owls 4v4 Mario Kart Team won their match against Heartland Community College 2-1. The Owls will be back in action on 11/20/24 with a league generated team.
