Men's Lacrosse Struggle Against

The Men's Lacrosse team suffered a disappointing loss against Monroe College on March 16, 2022. Following their first win a week prior, the Men's Lacrosse team suited up for a very talented roster from Monroe College. The team started strong holding a lead through the first quarter, but an uncharacteristic number of penalties left the team shorthanded for too long and put them in a deficit heading into half. The team started to recover and was down by only four at half. The second half looked better but the Owls became overwhelmed by the experience and fresh legs of Monroe's roster.

The Owls did manage to put 11 shots in the back of the net. Kyle Rigney and Parker Wills both put three in each. Dean Gillette kept on offense putting four goals in. And Sebastian Iakouchevitch added a late game goal.

Both coaches said they saw some great effort and teamwork during the game, both saying they have high hopes for this team. The issues the coaches identified are all concerns of a new team but they both feel these issues can and will be addressed with more experience and practice.

The Owls suit up again Wednesday March 23 as they travel to Williamson College of the Trades.
