Men's Baseball Take the Field For the First Time This Season and Show Signs of Good Things to Come

March 5, 2022, the Men's Baseball team got their first opportunity of the season to be out on a field. To start the season the Owls stepped on the field against NJCAA 3rd ranked RCSJ- Cumberland. While the baseball teams lost, the coach said he saw a lot of promise in how the team played.

Game 1 was called after 5 innings due to darkness. The Owls managed to score 8 runs in the shortened game which gives Coach Brett a sense of confidence in his offense. Coach said "Cesar Morillo was solid defensively in the field making several tough putouts." He also commented  on Javier Alfonso who went 2-3 with a double."

For the second of three games of the weekend, the coach made sure to credit Miguel Lecardio who picked up 2 hits in 4 at bats and starting pitcher Michael Urbano threw 4 solid innings giving up only 3 earned runs.

The Owls are eager to get more experience as a team on the field and prepare for upcoming games against Raritan Valley, Bergen, and Kingsboro.
