Owls Baseball is Showing Traction as They Earn More Victories

The Owl's Baseball Team has been putting in the work as they have finally gotten into the busy weeks of their season. 

4/13/22:

The Owls defeated Ocean 10-8. Quincy Mitchell picked up his first career win throwing 4 innings of relief, striking out 4 batters and only giving up 1 run.

Jacob Bottomly, Joel Matos, Bryan Padilla, and Cesar Morillo all had a multi-hit game. Bryan Padilla hit his second homerun and 4 RBIs while Joel Matos, Jacob Bottomly, and Franklin Solano each had 2 RBIs each.

4/15/22:

Union wins the opening game of a three game set against Salem. Andrew Addesso improves to 2-1 after a solid performance on the mound. He pitched 7 innings giving  up 2 earned runs and striking out 7 batters. 

The Owls had 7 different players score at least one run and 5 different players with at least 1 RBI. Javier Alfonso led the way going 3-5 with a double and 4 RBIs. Second Baseman Miguel Leocadio and Right Fielder Jake Krawczyk each had a multiple hit game.

4/16/22:

The Owls had a terrible showing in the first game of the double header, excluding Daniel Decker earning 2 of the teams 3 hits, but the final game of the series proved the Owls have a strong sense of fight in them.

Javier Alfonso hit his first homerun of the season in the first inning to set the pace of the game, he finished 3-3 with a clutch 6 RBIs. Shortstop Cesar Morillo hit the go-ahead RBI single. Javier Alfonso hit a 2-run single. Bryan Padilla pitched relief in this thrilling victory but was also 3-4 at the plate with 2 doubles and a run scored.
