Owls Smash Four Homers to Fly Past Skylanders 15-7

GREEN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Just one day after scoring 38 runs against Manor College, the Union Owls offense was at it again. The Owls powered 4 home runs to push 15 runs across the plate in the 15-7 victory over Sussex County at Novinsky Park.

 

The Owls (10-14, 4-4) jumped out to an early two-run lead, but the Skylanders responded with two runs of their own in the third inning to tie the game. The Owls answered back with ten runs to put the game out of reach en route to their third straight win.

 

Christian Castro led the way in the power department with two home runs in the game. James Liburd and Raymond Orta also muscled home runs in the victory. Austin Brooks earned his first victory of the year after 5.1 stellar inning s on the mound.
