On February 26, 2022, the Union County College Women's Basketball team won the Region XIX Division II Championship Game for the fifth consecutive year. Coach Marbely Montas and the first seed Owls played hard every second until the final whistle was blown and the Owls were victorious over Harcum College. The team's four leading scorers were Nia Mallette, 19 points, Samira Sargent, 18 points, Briana Mills, 14 points, and ToniRenee Blanford, 12 points.

The Owls now prepare for District Finals where they are First Seed and will be playing Jamestown CC on Saturday March 5, 2022 at 3pm at Niagara County Community College. The winner of that game will play March 6, 2022 for the District Championship.
