NJCAAE National Postseason Recap: OWLS Finish Strong in National Postseason Claiming One Second Place Finish and One National Championship.
Fortnite No Build:
The Fortnite team went into the National Postseason as the number 2 seed their highest ranking ever in program history. The Owls took on the 7 seed WSU Tech. The Owls and WSU went the full distance going 5 games. In the end the Owls lost the series 3-2. After speaking to some of the players they are looking to come back even stronger in the Spring Semester to claim the program's first Fortnite National Championship.

Mario Kart 1 vs 1:
Santiago Puerto found himself in the gauntlet of the Mario Kart 1v1 National Postseason. To open a busy first night of action Santi took on Marshalltown Community College and won the series 4-2. In round 2 of the postseason Santi was matched against Southeast Community College and won the series 4-1, securing his spot in the winner’s final. In the winner’s final Santi ran into his old foe from Laramie County Community College, this race went the full seven rounds with Santi losing in the final round and dropping to the loser's bracket. In the losers' final we had a rematch of the East Regional Championship Match between Santi and Danville Area Community College. This time around the match had a different ending with Santi redeeming his championship loss and punching his ticket to the grand finals. In the grand finals Laramie County Community College was waiting for Santi to finish out the postseason. Santi’s redemption arc through the loser's bracket was cut short as Laramie won the matchup in the first series 4-2 to stop the grand finals reset. Santi finished the season ranked second and is in high spirits about coming back even stronger in the Spring Semester.
Call of Duty Gunfight:
The Call of Duty Gunfight team's opening quarterfinal matchup was against Marshalltown Community College. The Owls won the series 3-1 securing their spot in the national semis where they would face Barton Community College immediately. The Owls would go on to rally and win the national semis 3-1 where they would take Central Community College. In the national championship game, the Owls went down 5-1 in the opening round but staged an epic comeback to take round 1: 6-5. The Owls would easily take round 2 of the series leaving them with 1 round to win to secure their second title in program history. In the third round the Owls ran into technical difficulties when one of their players was disconnected from the game and forced to play 2v1. Central would take the 3rd round to bring the series back 2-1. In the 4th round the Owls closed the door to any potential comeback as they would go on to win the series and the championship. The Owls finished the season undefeated, making it the first time in program history they finished with a perfect record.
