CRANFORD, NJ - UCNJ Women's Volleyball team continued its dominant run on Tuesday night, sweeping Sussex County Community College in straight sets (25–5, 25–5, 25–7) to extend their win streak to three matches. Lady Owls traveled to Sussex after a having a trimatch on Saturday, at RCSJ-Gloucester. There, the Owls won against RCSJ-Gloucester in straight sets and handled Delaware County in four.
The Owls bring the heat into Tuesday night against Sussex, hitting an outstanding .455 as a team while limiting Sussex to just 17 total points across three sets. UCNJ was able to control the match with relentless offensive and aggressive serving. Giving them a win and their third consecutive victory.
Neika Michel led the team with a standout performance, recording 15 kills on just 21 attempts, her most efficient outing of the season. Betina Cardozo also had a stellar match, with 5 kills, 7 service aces, and 12 total points. Setter, Maya Kukielo had 26 assists, adding 4 service aces and 6 digs. Angeles Rosario contributed with 6 kills, and Maya Antonie added 5 kills and 2 aces. Defensively, Giany Puero Zamora recorded 11 digs, helping the Owls maintain control from start to finish. Overall UCNJ demonstrated a strong team effort, earning them another win.
