Union women’s basketball wins its 3rd-straight game inside the Owls Nest behind a 37-point , 10-rebound, 5-assist and 2-steal performance from Khila Morris and a shooting exhibition from Najla Cecunjanin to defeat Middlesex College by a score of 112-52 on Thursday afternoon.
With the win, Union (3-0, 2-0 Region XIX, 1-0 GSAC) wins its 3rd straight game in row. An explosive first five minutes pushed Union to a 22-2 run. The Owls refused to let their foot off the gas finishing the first quarter leading 36 to 11.
Cecunjanin contributed 18-points, shooting 6-for-10 (.600) from the floor, nailing all six from the three-point line. Aleah James tacked on 14-points, 7-rebounds, 10-assist and 4-steals and Ahjanae Young had an all around game adding 7-points, 4-rebounds, 6-assists and 6-steals.
The Owls are set to return to action on Tuesday, November 21st, as they host Monroe College in the Owls Nest. Tip-off is set for 5:00pm ET.
