Five Union Women's Soccer Players earn All-Region Honors

CRANFORD, NJ- Of the five Union players making All-Region; Destine Alarcon, Lindsay Wielgus, and Sarah English were named to the First Team, Victoria Fernandez was named to the Second Team, and Kiana Veloso-Lima was named to the Third Team.

Sophomore Goalkeeper Destine Alarcon was outstanding in the net this season recording 91 saves. Sophomore Midfielder Lindsay Wielgus recorded 6 goals and 10 assists which was good to lead the team in assists this season. Freshman Defender Sarah English only recorded 3 points on the season, but was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball this year.  

Freshman Forward Victoria Fernandez was also very strong in her rookie college season. She led the team in goals with 14, while also adding 7 assists on top of that. The last, but certainly not least, Union Owl to make All-Region was Freshman Midfielder Kiana Veloso-Lima. She recorded 7 goals and 3 assists earning herself Third Team Honors.
