Women Soccer's Ties Nassau in 2OT on the Road

EAST GARDEN CITY, NY- The Union County College Women's Soccer team played two overtimes to decide a 0-0 tie against the Lions of Nassau.

Two overtimes were not enough to decide a winner in Thursday's matchup between the Owls and the Lions. In what turned out to be a defensive struggle, Union finds their first result that isn't a win this season. Victoria Fernandez led the team with three shots, but only one was on goal, and none resulted in a score for the Owls. Destine Alarcon made an impressive 5 saves in the game to keep the Lions from eclipsing the Owls. The Union Women's Soccer team will look to bounce back on Saturday, September 28th with an in-region matchup with Camden County College.
