Women's Soccer Host 7v7 Tournament

Women's Soccer Host 7v7 Tournament

This spring the Women's Soccer team hosted their first 7v7 tournament on April 21st.  The tournament was held at the newly renovated Warinanco Sports Center in Roselle, NJ. There was a mix of NJCAA and NCAA school that participated.  Rowan College at Gloucester County, Mercer County College, New Jersey City University, Bloomfield College and Union County College also fielded a team in a round robin style tournament.

Participating in a 7v7 tournament allows the teams to maximize their touches during the condensed spring season since the tournament had 30 minute games of high intensity. The smaller field allows for the athletes to work on their game in smaller spaces at a much quicker pace.

Union County College ended their spring season strong after working tirelessly throughout the off season.  They won 3 and tied 1 game during the 7v7 tournament which proved how hungry they are for the start of the 2018 season.

The Lady Owls open their season at North Country Community College on August 22nd.
