Head coach Angie Correia did an impressive job in her first year as head coach for the Union County College Women's Soccer team. The team posted an overall record of (11-1-2), a Region XIX record of (7-1), and a Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) record of (7-1). They finished second in both Region XIX and conference play behind only Rowan College of Gloucester County, and put a cap on a spectacular season with a (4-0) record in the month of October and a six-game winning streak.

Due to their strong season, the NJCAA seeded Union 2nd in the Region XIX Tournament.

On top of being ranked as the 2nd seed, Maya Lawler, a Union defender, was named Co-DIII Women's Soccer Player of the Year, as well as being named to the NJCAA Region XIX DIII 1st Team.

Steffany Marroquin (Forward), Barbara Ferreira (Midfielder), and Lauren Buchanan (Goalkeeper), after very successful campaigns this year, were also named to the NJCAA Region XIX 1st Team.  Also, Rosa Bonilla (Forward) and Alexis Wysocki (Defender) made the NJCAA Region XIX 3rd Team.

The Union County College Lady Owls (11-1-2) will be opening tournament play against Bucks County Community College (10-6) in the Quarterfinal game at 4:30 pm on Saturday, October 21 at Kean University.

Let's Go Lady Owls!
