CRANFORD, NJ- Freshmen Guards Brianna Mills and Samira Sargent were named to the first and second team All-Region Squads respectively.

Brianna Mills has been named to the First Team All-Region XIX team for the 2019-2020 season. Mills averaged 12.8 points per game which was tied for first on the team. Not only was Mills adept at scoring the ball this season, but she was also the main distributor for the Lady Owls, averaging 5.3 assist per game to also lead the team. Defensively, Mills was excellent averaging 3.6 steals a game to also lead the Union squad. Being only a freshman, Mills has a whole other year to build upon her legacy!

Samira Sargent has been named to the Second Team All-Region XIX team for the 2019-2020 season. Sargent burst onto the scene this year as one of Union's most efficient shooters, averaging 32% from the 3-point line, and  65.4% from the free-throw line. Sargent averaged 10.7 points per game, and 2.8 assists per game which was good for third and second on the team respectively. Like Mills, Samira Sargent will be back for another season next year, where she will hope to continue her excellent college basketball career.

Despite both players having next year to continue their dominance, they still have unfinished business for this season. The Union Women's Basketball squad is set to play Orange County Community College on Saturday, March 7th for the first game of districts. Tip-Off is at 1:00 PM at the County College of Morris!
