BRANCHBURG, NJ- It took an Overtime period, but the Union Lady Owls emerged victorious by a score of 78-76.

The 2020 Region XIX Women's Basketball Final was a back and forth battle all the way through. Union took the first quarter scoring 21 points, but the second quarter was dominated by the Falcons who outscored the Owls 21-8. The second half was narrowly taken by the Owls who were able to force overtime, where they finished the job outscoring Lackawanna 11-9. Saja Alston was the tournament MVP, and Coach Marbely Montas was named Coach of the year. The Owls will move on to Districts on Saturday, March 7th against Orange County Community College.
