Three Union Women's Basketball Players Named to All-Region Team; Abreu Named POY

CRANFORD, NJ - Three members of the Union's women's basketball team were honored as All Region selections this season.

Sophomore Yamel Abreu was named Region XIX Player of the Year as voted on by the Region XIX coaches.  Abreu surpassed the 1000th point mark in her career this season and leads the team in scoring averaging 16.7 points per game.

Sophomore Jessica Woods was honored by being named to the All Region Team as First Team member.  Woods grabbed her 500th career rebound this season and averages a double-double with 14.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.

Sophomore Tania Scott was named as a Second Team member of the All Region Team.  Scott leads the team with 6.8 assists per game.
