SCRANTON, PA – The Union Women's Basketball opened the game with a 19-2 run and then never looked back in their 83-51 victory over the Rowan College at Burlington County Barons.
Sophomore Yamel Abreu paced the offense with 22 points and 3 assists. Sophomore Tiffany Jackson was one rebound shy of a double-double. The East Orange native finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four Owls scored double-digits in points with team shooting 48.4 percent from the field.
The Owls outscored the Barons 26-10 in the paint today. Union also added 25 points off RCBC turnovers.
The Owls defensive effort matched the offensive as the Owls held RCBC to just 21.6 percent shooting from the field.
