Cross County Rivalry Game Goes to Union Women's Basketball

NEWARK, NJ - It was the Union women's basketball team that that won against the rival Wolverines 93-43.

The sophomore trio of Yamel Abreu (Elizabeth, NJ), Jessica Woods (Linden, NJ) and Tania Scott (Newark, NJ) provided 51 of the team 93 total points.  Abreu led the team with 19 points while grabbing eight rebounds.  Woods added 17 points, while Scott chipped in 15 points while dishing out seven assists and five steals.

The victory improves the Owls to 17-3 on the season.  Union returns home to the Owls Nest on Thursday, January 24 against Rowan College at Burlington College beginning at 5:00 pm.
