Woods Grabs Her 500th Career Rebound in Union Women's Basketball Win

CRANFORD, NJ - Not only did Union women's basketball team start of the second half of the season with a 83-50 victory, but sophomore Jessica Wood (Linden, NJ) grabbed her 500th career rebound during the game.

Woods who is currently 4th in the nation in total rebounds with 207 total for this season, surpassed the 500 rebound total in the stats column for her career.  She finished the evening with another double-double with 24 points including 17 rebounds and three blocked shots.  Two other sophomore also had double-doubles as well.  Tania Scott (Newark, NJ) had 10 points and 10 assists while Yamel Abreu (Elizabeth, NJ) chipped in 10 rebounds and 10 assists to go along with eight points.  

 

The victory improves Union to 13-3 overall on the season.  The Owls are back in action on the road as they travel to Harcum on January 15 for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
