Lions Get Tamed By Union Women's Basketball

CRANFORD, NJ - The Union women's basketball team pulled away from the Raritan Valley Lions in the second half for a 77-57 victory.

Trailing by two points at half time the sophomore trio of Yamel Abreu (Elizabeth, NJ), Jessica Woods (Linden, NJ) and Tania Scott (Newark, NJ) each posted a double double to lead the second half charge for the victory.  Abreu finished the night with 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Woods threw in 17 points and pulled down 20 boards and Scott had 11 assists with 12 points. 

The win improves Union's overall record to 10-3 overall.  The Owls will host Essex County College in the Owl's Nest on Saturday, December 15 with a 12:00 pm tipoff.
