Union Women's Basketball Defeats Titans; Four Players Score in Double Figures

CRANFORD, NJ - The Union women's basketball team beat DII County College of Morris by a score of 87-35. Union kept the pressure defense on all night and it proved to much to handle for the visiting team.  The Owls took a 39-14 lead into halftime and never let up.

Sophomores Yamel Abreu (Elizabeth, NJ), Jessica Woods (Linden, NJ), Tania Scott (Newark, NJ) and Micaiah Battle (Scotch Plains, NJ) led the offensive charge for Union.  Abreu led all scorers with 39 points, three assists and five steals.  Woods had another double double on the evening scoring 16 points with 15 boards and five steals.  Scott also double doubled with 10 points and 10 assists.  Battle rounded out the sophomore offense with 10 points and six rebounds.

With the win Union improves to 5-2 on the season heading into the Thanksgiving break.  Their next game will be on their home court when they host ASA on Tuesday, November 27 beginning at 5:00 pm.
