#15 Yaneiry Holguin, "YaYa" to her coaches and teammates, is a graduating Guard from Elizabeth, New Jersey.
YaYa is a returning sophomore for the Owls and has improved immensely as she has found her niche with the Owls on and off the court. Her work ethic has been everything a coach would want in an athlete. YaYa's highlight game was at Valley Forge Military College on December 16th with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Being born and raised in the Dominican Republic Spanish was her first language, but that did not stop her in achieving academic success at Union County College. YaYa was named to the Garden State Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for her academic achievements for the 2017 Fall semester.
YaYa has offers from NCAA Division II and III schools and will make her college choice after the season. Union County College, the Office of College Life, and her coaches look forward to watching her further her success at a NCAA institution.
