Union County College's Khayriyyah Dawson was one of 14 student-athletes from New Jersey's community colleges to receive "Woman of the Year" recognition at the National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration held on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Seton Hall University.
Khayriyyah, a resident of Irvington, NJ has an outstanding academic record student, maintaining an overall GPA of 4.0. She is also a great teammate and a team leader.
Women from high schools and four-year colleges and universities also were honored.
