NJCAA Women's Basketball All-American 1st Team

During Zhane Robinson's tenure at Union County College she has definitely learned an important life lesson that with hard work and determination success will be rewarded.

#3 Zhane Robinson, Guard from Newark, New Jersey, made an important impact on the Lady Owls team throughout the 2014-2015 women's basketball season. An injury plagued Zhane to miss the first eight games of the season, but she was committed to her team to get back on the court before the winter break.  On December 6th Zhane assisted her team to a 74-55 victory over Manor College with 15 points.

During the week of January 26th through February 1st Zhane was named the Garden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week. This was after she led her team to two victories over Manor College 76-65 and Raritan Valley 105-41. Zhane averaged 29.5 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 steals for the week and also had a triple double in the Manor College game.

In late February the Lady Owls rolled into playoffs and met up again with Lackawanna College for the third time this season and came away as the NJCAA Region XIX Champions where Zhane was named the MVP of the Region Tournament. Zhane had a remarkable game where she scored a triple double which included her highest scoring game of the season with 37 points.

Zhane Robinson has concluded her playing career at Union County College with the honor of earning an elite spot as a NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball All-American 1st Team.  Zhane Robinson will have her jersey displaced in Knoxville, TN at the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Her jersey will be one of more than 100 that will hang in the "Ring of Honor" which consists of the previous season's All-Americans throughout the NCAA and NJCAA.
