Men's Track & Field Debut at Penn Relays

This April, the Union County College Men's Track & Field Team competed in two events at the world renowned Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania.  Penn Relays is the largest Track & Field event in the US and possibly the world when it's not an Olympic year.

 

In the Men's 4x100 event, the team was competing against other NJCAA and NCAA levels along with teams from Jamaica.  Running for Union in the Men's 4x100 was Immanuel Edobi, Shariff Stubs, Isaac Kalema and Edward Kosso who finished 65th out of 71 teams.  In the Men's 4x200 Immanuel Edobi, Casleny Augustin, Isaac Kalema and Edward Kosso ran for Union.

 

As a first year program the team performed well under the conditions of 80,000 fans in their first true test till NJCAA Nationals on May 9th-11th at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD.
