In Its Inaugural Season, Members Of Union County College's Track Team Qualify For Nationals

Union County College's Track and Field team is in its inaugural season.  In only the second meet of the season, the 4x100 Men's relay team and two runners from the Women's team, have already qualified for Nationals.  These students will attend the National Championships at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD, from May 9-11, 2013.

For the Union County College team, Petra Semelova and Katie "Hurricane" Lennon qualified for nationals in two events, the 1500 meter and the 5000 meter. The Men's 4x100 relay team, consisting of runners Edward Kosso, Casleny Augustin, Issac "Ice" Kalema, and Imannuel Edobi. In addition to the achievement of these athletes, many other team members successfully lowered their time during their second meet and are now one step closer to qualifying for nationals as well.

Track and Field coach Jason McFall is a seasoned coach who is extremely proud of the team's achievements and efforts. The team will be competing in the Danny Curran Invitational being held at Widener University on March 29, 2013.
