Herve Vilaire was a member of the Union County College Men’s Soccer team during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.  As goalkeeper, he was an essential part of the 2003 team that advanced all the way to the National Championship game.  As a member of the first soccer team in the College’s history to advance that far, Vilaire was given conference and regional recognition when he was named First-Team Garden State Athletic Conference and First-Team Region XIX in 2003.

His hard work and dedication continued off the field as well.   He selflessly served his country in the New Jersey Army National Guard where he ended up being deployed to Iraq.  In 2008, Alex Louis recruited the Iraqi War Veteran to serve as an Assistant Soccer Coach beginning in 2009.  Vilaire enjoys working with the athletes, guiding them both in athletics and academics. Vilaire also is a Police Officer in the Borough of Roselle.
