Just One Away From 100th Career Goal

Steven Borthwick is a returning lacrosse player for the Owls and has just scored his 99 career goal against Ocean County College to break Union County College's All-Time Goals Scored.  All-American CJ Francisco previously held the record with 98 goals.  Steven is scheduled to score his 100th goal of his career during the upcoming Region XIX Tournament.  He is currently ranked 5th throughout NJCAA and leads Region XIX in Scoring with 63 points (31 goals 32 assists).  He is also ranked 6th in the nation for Assists with 32. 

As a freshman Steven was a valuable member of the team by scoring 68 goals and 3 assists.  He ended his freshman season ranked 2nd in the nation for Goals Scored.  Steven demonstrated his hard work and value to the team and was awarded by being named to the 1st Team All-Region XIX.  He has validated his growth as a player from being a primary scorer last season to currently holding 32 assists and 31 goals this year.

Steven is a Liberal Studies major and will be graduating this May with his Associates Degree and transferring to a NCAA four year school to continue to play lacrosse and earn his Bachelor's degree.
