Jay Roussey Named Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

Union County College will be expanding their athletic programs once again by adding a Men's Lacrosse program for the 2012-13 academic year.  Developing the program as head coach will be Jay Roussey of Cranford, New Jersey.  Jay is coming to Union County College with 17 years of coaching experience in lacrosse.  Union is proud to have Jay pioneer this program from the ground up and take Union Lacrosse successfully to the next level.   

 

As a high school lacrosse coach for 10 years, Jay has produced 40 athletes that extended their playing career in college with 10 of them playing at the Division I level.  Jay also coached 33 high school athletes to be named First Team All-State and three All-American.

 

On the collegiate level Jay found success in pioneering the County College of Morris's initial lacrosse program.  Within four years, Jay coached 12 NJCAA All-Region players and with one of them earning two times All-American.  The conclusion of Jay's second season the program was ranked 7th in the nation.

 

Union County College welcomes Jay as the newest member of the Owl Athletic coaching staff for 2012-13 academic year.
