LINCROFT, NJ – Fourth-seeded Union County College beat top-seeded Rowan College at Gloucester County, 76-75, in an NJCAA Division III Men's Basketball Region XIX semifinal game at Collins Arena on Saturday.
Tyheem Burno scored 20 points to lead Union. Trevon Bleasdell and Jordan Rowley added 10 each for the Owls.
Tyler Lunsford led Rowan with 23 points. Ja'Zere Noel (16), Luciano Lubrano (13), and DJ Henderson (12) posted double-figures for the Roadrunners.
The game was tight throughout, with Union taking a 38-31 lead into the half. A 3-pointer by Stan Martin made it a one-point game late, but it wouldn't be enough as Rowan was unable to get another shot off before time expired.
Union will play second-seeded Middlesex for the Region XIX championship on Sunday, Mar. 3 at Collins Arena at 2:30 p.m.
