Rowley Grabs 500th Rebound in Union Men's Basketball to Win Over Skylanders

CRANFORD, NJ - The Union men's basketball team won a lopsided contest over visiting Sussex by a score of 121-79.  Union took a 18 point lead into halftime and never looked back.  It was a record night for sophomore Jordan Rowley Hillside, NJ) as he grabbed his 500th career rebound as a members of the Owls.

Freshman Tyheem Burno (Jersey City, NJ) had a triple-double on the night with 22 points, 18 assists and 11 steals.  Sophomore Trevon Bleasdell dropped 20 points, while sophomore teammate Rowley scored a double-double including 16 points and 20 rebounds.  Other scorers in double digits included sophomore Najee Plunkett (Vauxhall, NJ) 12, freshman Jared Simmons (East Orange, NJ) 12, sophomore Nyquan McComb (Staten Island, NY) 11 and freshman Jason Okali (Scotch Plains, NJ) 10.

The victory improves the Owls record to 8-15 on the season.  The next jumpball will take place on Saturday, February 2 in the Owls Nest against Atlantic Cape Community College beginning at 12:00 pm.
