CRANFORD, NJ - It took five minutes of overtime, but the Union men's basketball team defeated Ocean 88-80 in their first game of the second semester.
Sophomores Trevon Bleasdell (East Orange, NJ) and Jordan Rowley (Hillsdale, NJ) led the offensive charge for the Owls. Bleasdell finished the evening with 29 points, five rebounds and three steals. Rowley double-doubled in the game with 24 points, 21 rebounds and seven blocks. Freshman Najee Plunkett (Vauxhall, NJ) added 12 points.
The win improves the Owls to 2-14 on the season. Union is back on the court on Thursday, January 10 as they travel to Sussex County for a 7:00 pm tip-off.
