Union Men's Basketball Wins Final Game of Semester; Dominate Cougars Start to Finish

CRANFORD, NJ - The Union men's basketball team ended the semester on a high note ravaging the Camden Cougars 113-68.  The Owls took a 35 point lead into halftime and cruised to victory with every Union player scoring in the game.  Union also turned up the pressure on the defensive keeping Camden uncomfortable all afternoon. 

Sophomores Nyquan McComb (Staten Island, NY) and Jordan Rowley (Hillside, NJ) each posted a double-double on the afternoon.  McComb had 17 assists along with 10 steals to go along with his seven points.  Rowley scored 18 points along with grabbing 20 rebounds in the win.  Other double digit scorers includes freshman Marvellous Akingbala (Union, NJ) with 19, sophomore Derek Booker (Bayonne, NJ) with 16, freshman Armin Spann (Plainfield, NJ) with 15, sophomore Trevon Bleasdell (Irvington, NJ) with 10 and freshman Lamont Cruse (Scotch Plains, NJ) with 10.  

With the win, Union improves its overall record to 10-5.  After the holiday break, the Owls will return to the hardwood on Tuesday, January 8 as they host Ocean County College beginning at 7:00 pm.
