Union Men's Basketball Sunk By Bucs; Second Half Troubles Hurt Owls

MAYS LANDING, NJ - The Union men's basketball team was stopped by the Atlantic Cape Buccaneers by a score of 88-84.

The Owls led by eight points at halftime, but turnovers and foul trouble in the second half contributed to Union's second straight loss.  Sophomore Jordan Rowley (Hillside, NJ) led the Union charge with 22 points.  Freshman Lamont Cruse (Scotch Plains, NJ) added 19 points while sophomore Derek Booker (Bayonne, NJ) dropped in 13 points.  Freshman Tyheem Burno (Jersey City, NJ) was the only other player in double digits with 12 points on the afternoon.

The loss drops Union's record to 8-5 overall.  The Owls look to bounce back on Tuesday, December 18 as they travel to Vineland, NJ to face Cumberland County College for a 7:00 pm tipoff.
