Union Men's Basketball Can't Stop the Roadrunners

CRANFORD, NJ - The Union men's basketball team fell to the visiting Roadrunners by a score of 92-88.  Union jumped out to a double digit lead only to have the lead dissipate at halftime with the score knotted at 47-47.  In a back and forth second half, Rowan Gloucester capitalized on to many of the Owls turnovers to secure the win.

Union had five players in double figure scoring on the evening.  Sophomore Nyquan McComb (Staten Island, NY) led the Owls with 24 points including six three pointers.  Sophomore Derek Booker (Bayonne, NJ) had 18 points on the night, while freshman Tyheem Burno (Jersey City, NJ) chipped in 16 points.  Freshman Lamont Cruse (Scotch Plains, NJ) and sophomore Jordan Rowley (Hillside, NJ) round out the double digit scoring with 13 and 12 points.  

The loss drops the Owls record to 8-4 on the season.  Union returns to the hardwood on Saturday, December 15 as the travel to face Atlantic Cape Community College beginning at noon.
