West Windsor Township, NJ - The Union men's basketball team got a big win in the finale of the Mercer Mixer tournament defeating the home team, Mercer County, by a score of 79-58. Down by two points at halftime 34-32, Union outscored their opponent 47-24 in the second half propelling them to victory.
Freshman Tyheem Burno (Jersey City, NJ) led all scorers with 36 points. Sophomore Jordan Rowley (Hillside, NJ) had a big second half ending the game with a double double scoring 18 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.
The win improves Union's record to 4-2 on the season. The Owls are next in action on Tuesday, November 20 as they host Bergen Community College with a 7:00 pm tip-off.
