CRANFORD, NJ – The Union Owls League of Legends team advanced from the group stage of the Fireside Open this past weekend by defeating Rutgers CSL JV2, as well as by upsetting the #2 seed in Group A, the Monkeys. The Owls won both games before 30 minutes and hoisted a gigantic team KDA of 45/11/84 between the two games. Jon "Noble Jon" Baez-Brito went the entire weekend without a single death while maintaining a 12/0/11 score. Baez-Brito also averaged 26% of the team's total damage, working with Milton "biqqdaddii" Santa-Cruz to ensure the team's damage output.
With this win, the Owls will take on the #2 seed of the tournament, DABS 291, in the Quarterfinals of the tournament this week.
