UCC Baseball Defeated at Raritan Valley, 16-9

BRANCHBURG, NJ – The UCC Baseball team fell in a highly contested matchup against the Raritan Valley Community College Lions by a final score of 16-9.

UCC (11-26, 3-11) had plenty of offense against the Lions, but could not contain RVCC's bats in the road loss. Owls battled back and forth with the lead exchanging hands four times, but 8 runs in the last two innings cemented the victory for Raritan Valley.

Quincy Bryant really shined for the Owls offensively, reaching base safely four times while slugging in 3 RBIs. Carlos Marte matched Bryant with 3 RBIs including a two-run triple for the Owls. Richard Bianchi also plated home two with a two-run single in the fourth inning.

The Owls will be back in action tomorrow with a big conference matchup on the road at #8 Brookdale Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Lincroft.
