Owls Topped in Duel with Cougars, 4-1

SCHNECKSVILLE, PA – UCC Baseball fell in a tight contest to Lehigh Carbon Community College by a score of 4-1. This was a makeup game after the original matchup was postponed on April 12, but was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The Owls (11-22, 3-10) scattered 10 team hits in the defeat as the offensive came up short with runners on base. Patrick Connolly finished the day 2-for-4, while Quincy Bryant reached base and stole a base after a single. Austin Brooks had the lone RBI for the Owls.

Jayden Jacobs had a quality start for the Owls. The right-handed pitcher went five innings with just three runs allowed. Kevin Roll added a solid three innings out of the bullpen.

UCC will be back in action tomorrow on the road at Delaware Technical Community College with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
