UCC Baseball Swept in Doubleheader at #1 Rowan College at Gloucester County

SEWELL, NJ – The Union Owls (11-21, 3-10) had a rough two games at top-ranked RCGC over the weekend. The Owls fell in game one 34-2 in seven innings, and then dropped game two by a score of 11-5.  

Game 1 | RCGC 34, Union 2

 

The Owls fell in game one of the conference doubleheader to RCGC by a score of 34-2. Calvin Colon had a two-run triple in the defeat. Patrick Connolly, Carlos Marte, and Quincy Bryant recorded hits in the game. Jayden Jacobs suffered his first loss of the season on the mound.

 

Game 2 | RCGC 11, Union 5

 

Although it was a different story in game two, the Owls fell against RCGC once more in the series finale. The Roadrunners defeated the Owls by a score of 11-5 in Sewell. 

Calvin Colon brought in two more runs in the defeat, as the sophomore shortstop finished the day with 4 RBIs. Christian Castro launched a two-run blast for the Owls in the setback. Javier Alfonso had a multi-hit game, reaching base twice.  

 

UCC Baseball will be back in action as they take on Lehigh Carbon on Tuesday in a makeup game. The game was originally scheduled for last Friday, but was postponed due to inclement weather. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
