Owls Baseball Fly Past Orange County, Beat Colts 9-3

MIDDLETOWN, NY – The Owls got back in the win column after a start-to-finish 9-3 victory over the Orange County Colts on Tuesday.

UCC (6-10, 0-2) opened the game with the lead in the first inning and never looked back en route to their sixth win of the year. The Owls got a little bit of production out of everyone with seven different Owls picking up at least one RBI in the game.

Javier Alfonso paced the Owls with 3 RBIs on the day. Calvin Colon was one of three UCC players to have a multi-hit game. Carlos Marte also added two RBIs to the team's total. UCC sent four pitchers to the hill and each of them had a solid game. Calvin Colon ultimately got the win with Carlos Marte closing the door in the ninth inning.

UCC are back in action tomorrow with another upstate New York foe as they take on the Ulster County Senators to conclude their three game series with them this season. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
