Lehigh Carbon Stifle Owls in PA, 12-7

SCHNECKSVILLE, PA – The Owls fell to Lehigh Carbon Community College on the road by a final score of 12-7.

In their sixth game in four days, the Owls struggled to get going against the Cougars. The Owls (5-10, 0-2) opened the game with the lead in the first inning but the Cougars responded with a five run second inning to erase the gap. They would then tack on four more runs before UCC countered with a four-run inning of their own. LCCC (7-4, 0-2) sealed the deal with a three-run eighth inning.

Javier Alfonso had a good day at the plate for the Owls. The first baseman finished the day 3-for-4 with a RBI. Carlos Marte and Calvin Colon also knocked in a pair runs each. The Owls stole 8 bases in the setback.

The Owls will be back in action tomorrow with a road game at SUNY Orange County. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
