Owls Take Down Westchester On the Road, 12-4

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – UCC Baseball's first game back in the tri-state area in two weeks was a good one. The Owls took down Westchester Community College by a score of 12-4 on the campus of Pace University.

The Owls (4-6, 0-0) offense struck early and often as UCC opened the game with 9 runs in the first two frames. The big lead was more than enough for sophomore pitcher Kevin Roll who dominated the five innings he pitched. Roll finished by allowing just two hits and striking out three on his way to the win.

Christian Castro led the way with a big home run in his 3 RBI day as he paced the Owls offense. Quincy Bryant finished the day 4-for-5 with three runs scored. Austin Brooks reached base four out of his five plate appearances. The Owls stole five bases in the victory.

The Owls will be back in action this Thursday as they take on Monroe College-Bronx in New Rochelle, NY at Dick Caswell Field.
