MYRTLE BEACH, SC – UCC Baseball concluded their spring break trip in Myrtle Beach with a tough setback to Mohawk Valley Community College by a final score of 4-3.
The Owls (3-4, 0-0) were able to comeback from an early 3-0 deficit, however couldn't complete the rally against MVCC. Mohawk Valley (2-4, 0-0) walked-off in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim the victory.
Carlos Marte launched a two-run home run in the fifth inning to tie the game. Marte finished the day with two RBIs. Brandon Barry finished the day with two hits and a run scored. Quincy Bryant had a nice outing on the mound for the Owls. Bryant went five innings while striking out five and spreading six hits in his outing.
The Owls will head back north for some more baseball tomorrow with a doubleheader at Chesapeake. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. with the second game immediately following the first.
