Owls Comeback Falls Just Short Against Mt. Aloysius

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Owls suffered a hard-fought loss against Mt. Aloysius, 9-8, at Ripken Myrtle Beach.  

 

The Owls (3-3, 0-0) rally was nearly complete against Mt. Aloysius. After falling behind 8-2 early, UCC was able to cut the deficit to just one run. The UCC bullpen was able to cool the Mt. Aloysius bats after their hot start. Jesus Lares and Kevin Pagan held the opposition to just two hits. 

 

Brandon Wreckler finished the game 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs. Carlos Marte, Austin Brooks, and Richard Bianchi also had two hits each in the setback. Sophomore first baseman Javier Alfonso reached base three times in the game.

 

The Owls conclude their Myrtle Beach Spring Break Trip with one game against Mohawk Valley Community College tomorrow. First pitch is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
