Cardinals Losing Streak Climbs to Six

On February 18, the Cardinals women's basketball team took on Union County College, losing 109-61. 

The Cardinals dropped their sixth straight on the road at Union County College in what was their most significant defeat of the season.  

It was an all-around tough day for the Cardinals, as they struggled to get any traction on both sides of the ball. By the end of the first quarter, the Cardinals found themselves down 25-12. However, in the second quarter, the Cardinals would be more efficient on offense scoring 20 points in the quarter, going into halftime down 50-32.  

In the second half, the Cardinals continued to struggle. Union County College would pull away even more as their struggles would continue to mount throughout the rest of the game, as the Cardinals would be handed their largest defeat of the season 109-61. 

The Cardinals' leading scorer was Amaree McKnight (National Christian Academy) who had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kayla Cabbagestalk (Chesapeake High School) finished with 14 points and eight rebounds. Destiny Perry (Sparrows Point High School) finished with 11 points and six rebounds.  

The Cardinals are now 9-11. Their next game is on February 21 at Harford Community College at 5 pm.
