Mustangs Start Their Playoff Birth With a Win Over the Owls

On Tuesday night, the Mustangs kicked off their birth in the Region 19 tournament by facing the Union County Owls in the Quarter Finals! After a close first half, the Mustangs raced down the stretch and won a resounding victory by a score of 94-63!

This could only be accomplished by who else other than Nigel Cooke who led the Mustangs in scoring with 28 points! Matt Compas and Will Anderson scored plenty of points of their own amasing 18 and 14 respectively. While Nigel dominated offensively, he also led the Mustangs in assists with a grand total of 9! 

The Mustangs were a force to be reckoned with as we amassed 50 rebounds on the night! Will Anderson led the team with 11 of those rebounds while Jake Schalki and Jay Joseph each had 8 rebounds of their own! Jay also had all of his 8 rebounds offensively! Meanwhile the Owls could not maintain their possessions as Jason Price and Jake Schalki had 2 and 1 blocks respectively. And Jason Price and Will Anderson each had 1 steal!

Also a huge congratulations to Will Anderson for earning a Double-Double with 14 points and 11 rebounds!
