Somerville, NJ-RVCC Lions Men's Soccer team got in the win column for the first time on Tuesday, blanking Union County College 4-0. The Lions were led offensively by two dominant individual performances. FR German Burset Romero burst onto the Region XIX Soccer scene following up on his first collegiate goal, with two additonal goals netting a hat trick in only his second career appearance. Romero scored the first three goals of the contest at the 5th, 39th and 51st minutes, putting the match out of reach. SO Caio Sanchez added a head ball goal in the 89th minute to seal the contest. German's 1st and third goals, as well Sanchez's goal were assisted by FR Patrick Oboukhov. Oboukhov's three assists were the first of his collegiate career. Goalkeepers, SO Kevin Perez and FR Juan Orzoco helped preserve RVCC's clean sheet each making two saves in their respective halves in net. 

The Lions return to play at 2:00 Friday on the road for a "non-region" contest against Mercer County who competes at the NJCAA Division II level.
